Three first picks, by flavor

If you'd rather decide by flavor than by habit, these three burgers go in different directions:

  • No heat: the Bulgogi Burger pairs sweet-and-savory bulgogi sauce with creamy mayo and fresh greens. It's listed at $11.99, or $16.99 as a combo.
  • Shrimp: the Shrimp Burger has a house-made patty of ground and whole shrimp with house tartar, lettuce and onion. It's listed at $12.99, or $17.99 as a combo.
  • A little heat: the Seoul Sweet Heat Chicken Burger has lightly breaded chicken in a yangnyeom-style glaze made with gochujang. It's sweet, savory and slightly spicy. It's listed at $11.99, or $16.99 as a combo.

A combo adds one side and one drink, and you choose both in the ordering menu. The combo photos and listings show tater tots, which is one of the side choices. Our combo and group set guide lists the side and drink choices. Shrimp is shellfish, so if anyone you're ordering for has a shellfish allergy, talk with our staff before ordering.

Torn between the two chicken burgers? Our Buldak and Seoul Sweet Heat comparison sorts them by heat. Leaning toward shrimp? Here's how the Shrimp Burger compares with our beef burgers.

What makes these burgers Korean

The shape is the American burger you already know: a bun, a patty or a piece of chicken, a sauce and fresh toppings. The Korean part is in what goes on it. The flavor comes from bulgogi sauce, a spicy buldak sauce, a yangnyeom-style glaze made with gochujang, kimchi and a house-made shrimp patty. Each burger is stacked to order, and the layers vary from one menu item to the next.

Our name, 언니네 (Unninae), means “your older sister's place.” It's the kind of place where someone makes you something warm because you showed up hungry.

Korean burger or smash burger?

The two terms describe different things. “Smash” is a cooking technique: a ball of beef is pressed thin on a hot griddle so the edges brown and crisp. “Korean” describes flavor. The smash style is still drawing attention. The National Restaurant Association's What's Hot 2026 forecast, published in November 2025, listed global smashed burgers among its trends. Our menu describes grilled patties and doesn't include a smash burger, so the difference you'll notice here comes from the sauces and fillings.

Still deciding?

The Bulgogi Burger is the gentlest way in. Its flavor is clearly Korean, sweet and savory, and it has no heat. It's listed at $11.99, or $16.99 as a combo with one side and one drink of your choice. Our menu has current prices and availability. If you're torn between it and a classic, our Bulgogi Burger and Cheese Burger comparison lays out both builds.
